BLM March
Today gives us the opportunity to start a conversation, identify problems and work toward a solution. When I look around the crowd today, I see people. People from different families, professions and beliefs. People coming together asking for change, standing shoulder to shoulder, working together, united, with one purpose. I see Richmond! I know how strong Richmond, and I know if we work together, we can accomplishment anything!
Please consider three important things we must do to promote change. We must listen, learn, and love. When we come together as one community it is essential to listen to each other. Listen with the intent to learn about that person, listen to identify problems and learn how to solve them. Listen to the challenges that person faces every day. This is the foundation to a loving relationship that will endure, it is love and not hate that will make the fundamental change that we all desire to see in our nation.
Bring your concerns forward and give the Richmond Police Department an opportunity to prove we are committed. We are committed to providing the highest level of professional law enforcement, with full respect for human dignity, and according to the highest standards of professional skill, integrity and accountability.
